How to measure the thickness of a coin very easily?
Materials required:
- 10 coins of same size
- Scale
- Pen and paper
Procedure:
- Make a stack of 10 coins.
2. Now measure the thickness of 10 coins together with a scale.
3. Write down the measurement on a paper.
4. Now calculate:
Thickness of a coin = thickness of 10 coins / 10
Observation:
You will observe that if you measure the thickness of 1 coin with the scale then it will be difficult for us to measure the exact value. So, first we need to measure the thickness of stack of 10 coins together and then divide it by 10, we will get the desired result of thickness of a coin. [It is easy for us to measure the thickness of 10 coins together]
Result:
Thickness of a coin = thickness of 10 coins / 10
